Tiger Shroff Firing Incident: Mother Ayesha Shroff REACTS, says ‘God is great’

AKD 2 min read

Ayesha Shroff, mother of actor Tiger Shroff, has spoken out for the first time following the firing incident near her son’s home in Mumbai. Unidentified men allegedly fired five rounds at Tiger’s BMW near Pushpa Park in Juhu on Sunday evening, and he had a narrow escape. His driver was injured in the attack.

In a conversation with India Today, Ayesha was asked how her son was doing. She gave a thumbs-up and replied, “God is great.”

Within hours of the incident, Tiger was spotted with bandages on his body as he met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shinde had come to the actor’s residence to inquire about his health and assured the family that strict action would be taken.

Following his meeting with the actor, Shinde addressed reporters, stating, “Kisi ki bhi dadagiri Mumbai mein nahi chalegi.”

Describing the gravity of the episode, he said, “This is a major incident… five rounds were fired, but fortunately, he was safe. His driver sustained injuries, and the incident is condemnable.”

Shinde added that Tiger’s hand was injured by gunpowder and broken glass fragments during the firing.

“Both he and his mother are quite shaken,” the Deputy CM said. “I have assured them that the state government stands with them in the face of the open threats being directed at public figures. No form of threat will be tolerated.”

Around 7 pm on Sunday, shots were fired as Tiger was on his way home from a football game. The actor was unharmed, but his driver and an autorickshaw driver were wounded.

Preliminary information suggests three men came on a motorcycle: two allegedly fired at the vehicle while the third stayed back to facilitate their getaway. Viral videos purportedly show the suspects speeding away on the bike.

Mumbai Police have reportedly formed 15 teams to hunt for the attackers. A social media post later surfaced, attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, in which the Lawrence Bishnoi group was named as being behind the incident. Police have yet to confirm the authenticity of this claim.
