Scout OP’s real name is Tanmay Singh, born on 30 July 1996, which makes him 30 years old in 2026. He is Indian, and while exact details of his early life are limited in public records, reports place his birthplace in Gujarat.

The tag “Scout” has followed Tanmay since his early gaming days — he adopted it during his Counter-Strike years, reportedly as an ode to the Scout sniper rifle — long before the name would trend across Indian social media. Today, fans search for him as “Scout OP,” “ScoutOP,” “Sc0ut” and simply “Tanmay Singh BGMI,” all of which point to the same person.

Tanmay Singh began his professional esports journey in 2018, during the explosive rise of PUBG Mobile in India. Over the years he has played for nearly every tier-one organisation in the Indian circuit, including:

Team IND
Team SouL
Fnatic — one of the few Indians to compete under a global esports banner
Orange Rock
Team XSpark — where he moved from player to co-founder and owner
Quantum Sparks (his 2026 comeback team)

His biggest competitive highlight came with Orange Rock at the PUBG Mobile World League 2020: East, where the squad finished as runners-up — a result that put Indian mobile esports on the global map.

As an owner, his résumé grew too: Team XSpark won the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024. Individually, Scout has been honoured as Gamer of the Year and Fan Favourite Esports Player of the Year.

Known for his aggressive fragging, sharp reflexes and four-finger claw setup, Scout OP built a reputation as one of the most exciting players of India’s PUBG Mobile and BGMI era.

In September 2025, Scout OP announced his retirement from competitive gaming, prompting fans to wonder whether his tournament days were over. They weren’t. He returned to competitive play in 2026, rejoining the BGMI scene with Quantum Sparks and featuring in the BGMI Masters Series Season 5 — proving that the pull of competition never really left him.

Scout OP’s popularity has never been confined to tournament brackets. His YouTube channel has crossed 5 million subscribers, and he has around 4.4 million followers on Instagram, powered by livestreams, gaming videos, vlogs and challenge content.

His earnings come from YouTube, livestreams, brand deals and esports — and he made headlines on the Bigg Boss 20 premiere when he revealed he earns roughly ₹30 lakh per month, leaving even Salman Khan impressed.

Bigg Boss 20, which premiered on 6 September 2026 on JioHotstar with Salman Khan, gave Scout OP something no gaming tournament could: a massive mainstream television audience. He entered the house alongside names like MC Mary Kom, Aamrapali Dubey, Kanika Mann and Love Gill.

For esports fans, it was a landmark moment — a digital-first creator finally standing in reality TV’s most-watched arena. For millions of Bigg Boss viewers, it was their first introduction to one of India’s biggest gaming stars.

Scout OP’s biggest Bigg Boss 20 storyline has been his bond with Punjabi actress Love Gill (Lovepreet Kaur Gill) — the actress known for Karan Aujla music videos and Punjabi films.

Initially, Scout called Love his “sister.” But a conversation with fellow contestant Yung DSA went viral when he said, “Sister se pehle friend hota hai na aadmi” (a person is a friend before a sister), and admitted feeling jealous when Gullu (Kushal Tanwar) flirted with Love. When asked if his “path was changing,” he replied, “Nahi pata.”

The comments raised eyebrows because Scout has been in a relationship with gaming creator Kaashvi Hiranandani (Kaashi) for reportedly around five years. Kaashvi addressed the buzz on livestream: “I am okay and trying to handle things outside. I genuinely wish Scout well.”

The row has drawn reactions from Kamya Punjabi, who said Love Gill “needs a reality check,” and Amrapali Dubey, who criticised the duo’s physical closeness on national television, while Salman Khan himself questioned Love’s touchy behaviour with Scout inside the house — to which Love replied, “Bhai-behen mein chalta hai.”

Whether it stays a sibling-like friendship or becomes the season’s defining love triangle, Scout OP has clearly become one of Bigg Boss 20’s most talked-about contestants — and one of the rare gamers in India to make that crossover.
