The confession scene, where
Naushad (Anup Soni) finally opens up about his past and motivations, became a personal milestone for him during the shoot. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Firstpost, he mentioned that getting into role wasn’t easy. When story is the hero, “Someone who has spent more time with the script is more involved in that character and the story. When we read script for the first time you just get the idea. But when you read it for the second and third time, then you understand the layering of your character better. For me it wasn’t that difficult because there was lot more in the script. My character actually has just one emotion. He didn’t have any multiple agendas. He was caught in a situation and he had to react to that situation. As an actor my job was to perform that situation and it was not even hidden. For me that scene was the most important scene.”
The scene that stole our heart
“This was a turning point for
Naushad,” he shares. “It required tapping into a very internal, vulnerable space.” He admits that he grappled with how to approach it. “Should I cry a lot? Should I play it blank? Or stay somewhere in between?” The uncertainty, he says, made it both challenging and creatively fulfilling. “I kept asking myself how much emotion was too much. But that’s what made it special.”
Despite its heaviness, the scene was one he remembers fondly. “It was quite emotional,” he says, “but I had a really good time shooting it.” Anup hopes the scene resonated with viewers for its honesty and rawness. “It’s one of those rare moments where a character stops hiding.”
